In his book, Coaching Questions, Tony Stoltzfus writes, “Values are the bedrock of behaviors. They define what is important to us, they form the framework we use for making decisions, and they are the driving force behind our work and our passions.” Core personal values are like the rudder that steers the ship to keep it on course when facing the storm or helps it take advantage of the winds of change.

Helping you assess you temperature in four key areas, this is a simple assessment and discussion tool. Based on the purpose you defined and your core values these scores can be used to focus some coaching objectives. Through the coaching process these scores can be used to track progress or coaching success
You play many roles on life, some by choice but others are enforced on you. Some roles can be considered operational and repetitive in nature. Others are project oriented and have specific time horizons with clear end point expectations. There are also leadership roles where your success is defined by the success and development of other people
Most of the time we engage individual using Organizational Titles such as President, Director, Manager, Treasurer,... Titles embody a multiplicity of roles which leads to ambiguity and destroy focus.
The objective is to recruit, motivate, and empower leaders and teams to focus on their highest value roles. Highest value roles are roles where the individual feels most equipped and empowered to constantly BE their best and do what thy love the most. It is in the best interest of individuals, their leaders and the church to encourage and empower individuals to focus on their strength and be accountable to exercise them to maximum potential
While adjectives describe what we like to BE, verbs describe what we like to DO best. Verbs are also very helpful when we define objectives and goals.
Weather it be in our personal or business lives, relationships is often a most voluble assets. In his thought-provoking book, Restoring Your Spiritual Passion, Dr. Gordon MacDonald suggests that in our lives we have different types of people and they impact our effectiveness.

Management by objectives is a critical skill for those who wish to lead or coach their teams. This is a discussion and progress review tool to be completed by your team member in preparation for a regular one on one coaching session.

Time Planner, Week at a Glance
Purpose: The objective is to provide a single planning view that captures roles, goals, and related activities in a single weekly view.
Use; Entry descriptions/ actions: Modify this Excel template by changing the roles to reflect the highest value roles on which you want to focus. At the beginning of every week plan your goals and their related activities. By allocating appropriate time such activities will become your priority.
Gaining the authentic input and feedback of important people can enhance the coaching process. Many organizations use performance measurements that have some elements of feedback. Regretfully, most of these tools are not designed as coaching tools and are often hindered by the perception of high authority.
Recently, tools such as 360 - degree feedback have gained popularity and are helpful in collecting objective and candid input from individuals the Client deems important. When these tools are wisely used they can engage individuals who seek the Client’s best interest in the coaching process. However, we must warn that, if complex or misused such tools can result in administrative burdens that hinder the coaching process

Color code the week at a glance spread sheet. Calculate the percentage of time you are devoting to each area. Adjust your allocation to reflect realistic expectations.
